Web Design

Since high school, I have practised website design as a hobby. Over time, I came to design several websites. One of the first was for my high school, Monsignor Doyle C.S.S. With the help of a computers teacher and other students, we gave Monsignor Doyle a new, professional look. It has since been redesigned by students that followed me, but the website still has several reminders of the version I created.

Also during my time at Doyle, I designed the website for St. Brigid Elementary School. For various reasons, it became a dead-end project and was never finished.

Eleven Consulting Early during my time in university, a friend and I took on a website job for a consultant I had met in my travels. While the website was never published it exhibited a nice design and was probably one of the first websites to contain several features that later became characteristic of my work.
Through my uncle, I came to doing a website for a small, local insurance restoration company. The website was simple, but prone to "feature creep". This arrangement did not last long and I happily passed the torch. First Response Restorations
Skills Canada In 1999, 2000 and 2001, myself and a friend competed in the Waterloo Regional Skills Canada competitions for Internet Webpage Design. In both 1999 and 2001, we came in 2nd place for our division. Looking back, the websites were rather disappointing, but given the time constraints and other limitations, the silver medals still hang proudly on my wall.
In the summer of 2006, I was commissioned to design a new website for the Canadian Paper Money Society. After several months of slow development, it was ready to go. In November 2007, the Canadian Coin News newspaper referred to the site saying "Sites like this one are so easy to browse, they could be models for teachers of web design." This is a website I continue to maintain. Canadian paper Money Society
How Do I Cook.com How Do I Cook.com is a website of one of my friends. Roland Lynn is an award-winning chef and this website is meant to teach beginners some basic recipes and cooking techniques. This is an ambitious project that has suffered the fate of many "spare time" projects.
Another "spare time" project of mine is the Online Canadian Paper Money Museum. This is a website meant to showcase Canadian paper money at its finest: rare notes, errors, special serial numbers and more. Contributions already include images of some extremely rare banknotes in the finest condition known. This website follows a layout pattern established with some of my other websites.
